Character: Her name says it all, Mila means sweet and gentle. A mixed Pulin, her intelligence and quick learning are just as evident as her physical traits. Playful and always cheerful, Mila approaches every day like it’s the best day ever. She has a charming way of demanding attention, nudging you with her nose, raising her paw, and standing there as if to say, “Hey, look at me! Choose me!” Mila is full of energy and always ready for action. If you live an active lifestyle, enjoy long walks, or love hiking, she’ll be the perfect companion for your adventures. She’s incredibly sociable and loves playing with other dogs, no matter their size or breed. Friendly, confident, and full of life, Mila will do everything she can to make you notice her, and love her.
Story: Mila was abandoned as a tiny puppy near a large steel mill in Smederevo. She spent months there, surviving on the kindness, or cruelty of passersby. Some fed and petted her, while others chased her away or even kicked her. A kind young woman who worked nearby took it upon herself to care for Mila, providing food and a love to help her get by. As Mila grew older and no longer looked like a puppy, the woman reached out to local animal rescuers to help sterilize her, knowing the risks Mila faced in a zone crowded with stray male dogs. That’s when our organization stepped in. We arranged for Mila to be spayed and vaccinated immediately, with the generous support of a sponsor who covered all her care costs. After her sterilization, returning Mila to the streets was not an option. We found her a place in a shelter, hoping that someone would soon come forward to offer her a loving home. However, Mila is black dog and we know that sadly, for some, this means fewer chances for adoption. We truly hope Mila will find a family who will love, cuddle, and cherish her. She’s been through so much in her short life, but her future is still wide open, filled with the promise of happiness and love.
